An indoor swimming pool offers exceptional comfort, but it is also one of the most demanding environments when it comes to thermal management. Pool heating, air treatment, humidity control, and thermal comfort within the pool room all require equipment that works seamlessly together. This was precisely the challenge addressed in this project carried out by Les Bassins d’Ojeda in the Corrèze region of France. To meet all of the project’s requirements, POLYTROPIC combined its dedicated pool solutions with WARMEO, its brand of air-to-water heat pumps for residential heating. This installation perfectly illustrates the complementarity between the two brands, delivering a complete solution ranging from pool heating to the thermal comfort of the pool room.
Key Takeaways
✔ POLYTROPIC provides pool heating through a Master Inverter XM heat pump and ensures air treatment with a DPG-H 250 TRI dehumidifier.
✔ A WARMEO WAO-07 heat pump, a brand of POLYTROPIC, completes the installation by supplying the dehumidifier’s hot water coil, helping to heat the pool room.
✔ This project perfectly illustrates the complementarity between POLYTROPIC and WARMEO solutions within a single installation.
✔ A comprehensive approach that delivers performance, comfort, and energy efficiency.
The project features a 44.16 m² indoor swimming pool with a water volume of 66 m³, maintained at a constant temperature of 28°C throughout the year.
The pool room, with a volume of 283 m³, is also heated to 28°C to ensure optimal comfort for users while limiting condensation issues. The installation is additionally equipped with an automatic submerged pool cover, helping to retain heat and improve overall energy efficiency.
In an indoor swimming pool environment, heating the water alone is not enough. It is also essential to control humidity levels, maintain a consistent room temperature, and protect the building over the long term. This holistic approach is what makes all the difference.
